Coastal Breeze at West Beach Santa Barbara

Coastal Breeze is the newly renovated upstairs unit of a three-unit triplex in the West Beach area of Santa Barbara. 






West Beach is near Santa Barbara City College, the Harbor, and Stearn's Wharf. The surrounding neighborhood has always been iconic; its Spanish-style bungalows, small boutique hotels, outside eateries, and a tropical beach vibe draw visitors and locals year-round. Three miles of paved boardwalk make biking, jogging, and walking the chosen mode of transportation here. The beach is wide, the surf is gentle, and the views, well, they are spectacular as one might well expect! Coastal Breeze is a mere three blocks from having one's toes in the sand! 

Ascend the red tile staircase that leads to this second-floor unit; the entry terrace will prove to be a well-visited spot from sunrise to sunset. With its low profile sectional, sleek ceiling fans, and neutral color palette, the living room offers a modern perspective and comfortable seating space to relax or watch tv after a busy day of touring, working, or playing. 

With the newly renovated kitchen, every amenity has been stocked for even the most discerning chef to prepare a gourmet meal. The red cast iron cookware adds a touch of whimsy to every meal. The round kitchen table beneath a sunny south-facing window seats four perfectly for a casual breakfast or coffee break, but don't rule out a romantic candlelit dinner for two, either! On warmer nights, the entry terrace picnic-style table is an alternate dining option, seating up to six under a shade umbrella. For added convenience, a stackable washer and dryer unit is also located in the kitchen. 

The primary bedroom features a king-size bed, flat screen tv, and a generous walk-in closet, which is especially handy for the long-term guest. Windows face the west, so a lovely glow will often penetrate the windows at sunset, adding a touch of warmth and ambiance to a lovely room.  Two other bedrooms complete the sleeping accommodations. The north bedroom next to the primary bedroom is the larger of the two. The room just off the living room is a bit cozier in size and has an open closet with shelves and hanging space to accommodate plenty of clothing, shoes, and personal belongings. Two side-by-side newly renovated bathrooms offer identical amenities with a pedestal sink, bathtub, and dual shower heads, one of which is a hand-held sprayer. 

Staying at Coastal Breeze is a fantastic starting point with a fresh perspective. It will seem effortless to partake in a wide variety of activities in Santa Barbara, especially those that revolve around sunny days on the beach, biking, paddling, sailing, or simply letting the warm sunshine soothe away the cares of the day. Locally owned markets are around the corner, and Chad's Cafe (a local's favorite!) is an absolute must for breakfast. Hang out with locals and visitors alike who flock to so many popular attractions; The Funk Zone, State Street Promenade, the MOXI, Shoreline Park, and the weekly Arts & Craft Show are all within a reasonable walking distance.

There is parking for one car in the driveway, and ample street parking. And, with boogie boards, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella, everything is provided to ensure a great day on the beach! So have fun, but don't forget the sunscreen!  

As final punctuation, Coastal Palm, a 3 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse unit, and Coastal Cabana, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath downstairs unit, are also available as part of this newly renovated triplex.

We enjoyed our stay!
We enjoyed our stay. The location was great-walking distance to the beach, the wharf and to the Funk Zone. The host had a helpful notebook listing the many resources in the area. It was nice to have a parking spot so the car was not on the street. We did not need to contact the host as the condo was clean and everything was in working order. We would stay there again.
