Once here, you’ll never want to leave. It’s a one-of-a-kind vacation experience. The home sits on a corner lot with a large yard just steps away from Montecito's Butterfly Beach. The modern coastal interior is paired with a tranquil outdoor space perfect for relaxing or hosting. The thoughtful floor plan is intended for guests to unwind, spend quality time together and feel like home.
From exterior to interior this house has a luxurious and calming feel. With 4 bedrooms and space to comfortably sleep 10 the Getaway House is perfect for a family retreat, a trip with friends or simply somewhere to decompress near the ocean. Curated artwork by Gray Malin is the centerpiece of every room, with the design complementing each unique space. The entryway is framed by a charming white fence enclosing the extensive yard. Stepping up the stone pathway you’re greeted by comfortable lounge chairs, a fire pit, a sun terrace with chaise lounge chairs and a large water feature, outdoor dining and a bocce ball court – creating an oasis for intimate dinners, outdoor games & lounging.
The blue Dutch front door welcomes you to the home. The color of the front door is mirrored by the staircase leading up to the second floor. Off the entryway a purposefully designed mudroom hosts space to hang coats, kick off your shoes and store extra luggage. This room also features two built-in desks in case you need to pull double-duty and work between vacation activities. The kitchen is truly the heart of the home at this house with a large, masterfully designed kitchen that accommodates casual mornings or large gatherings. Stocked entirely with William-Sonoma appliances, cookware and dish ware for a unique luxury touch to make you feel at home. Make your morning coffee or evening beverage with ease; embrace your inner chef.
Connected to the kitchen is the dining room, featuring a fireplace & table that can comfortably sit up to 10. This space is perfect for hosting, game nights or simply enjoying dinner with friends. Through the dining room is the great room, with ample seating, soaked in sunlight during the day. Come evening, this room is a comfortable place for conversations and unwinding in front of the fireplace. If a movie night is on the itinerary you can all relax in the Media Room and turn on a classic. A thoughtfully designed laundry room and powder room complete the ground floor. The downstairs primary bedroom is a lovely, well-appointed room with a king-size bed, ensuite bathroom and a door out to a private patio with ample seating.

Everything Needed!
There were 9 of us with plenty of room. The kitchen had everything we needed in the way of equipment and dishes. I received quick email responses to my questions from the realty company that handles the house. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the pool table. We ate all our dinners outside under the umbrella table!

My husband and I had a lovely stay at this home. Check in and communication with the property managers, especially Viki and Lydia from VROSB was very smooth and I appreciated their assistance while we were there. The house is perfectly located near Butterfly Beach and close to Montecito Village and was well stocked and appointed. Thank you for a great stay!

What a gorgeous property!
We loved sitting outside and listening to the fountain, seeing the fish, cooking on the grill, and the kitchen was spectacular for preparing big family dinners — awesome inventory of tools and everything nicely organized. Beds were comfy, house was pristine, pool table and ping-pong were great activities for the kids; and obviously, the location is phenomenal. Thanks for a wonderful stay — we felt very lucky to be here!

Ideal family vacation at Channel House!
We had an amazing week's vacation at Channel House last week. It was the perfect end to our Summer, just what the doctor ordered for our children and for the grownups. The house had everything we needed. There was plenty of space to hang out together and play games, but the bedrooms were also large for all of us to get in naps and quiet downtime. The beds and sheets were comfortable and luxurious.
While we had some unforgettable meals out, we also took advantage of the kitchen, grill, and patio. The weather was perfect for eating outside and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the afternoon and then enjoying dinner and a cocktail on the patio as we watched the sunset. The koi pond is beautiful and well-maintained. Roses were blooming everywhere in the yard and we knew we were on vacation when we first opened the gate and saw all of the beautiful plantings.
We loved the easy access to the beach, bike path, and town. We used the bikes the owners kindly left for us and toured Santa Barbara daily.
The house was fully-stocked, including games, towels, and everything you could possibly imagine needing in the kitchen. It was like home, but better. We really appreciated how spotlessly clean the kitchen was and we were thrilled to find the assortment in the spice drawers.
Everyone loved the pool/ping pong table. I think all of us improved our game!
The binder was a great source of information. We fit a lot into our week, including a family surf lesson, a kayak trip through the marina, a hike to hot springs, and a visit to the town of Solvang. While we could do without Solvang, we really enjoyed driving through the mountains and seeing the surrounding area.
Management was quick to respond and easy to deal with.
Thank you for welcoming us and providing us with such a fantastic and relaxing Montecito vacation. We travel all over the world and we can't wait to come back to our new retreat in Montecito on Channel Drive.

You could not be in a better location!
This house was an amazing home for my family to stay in Montecito for 2 weeks. It’s a beautiful, well cared for home that has everything you’ll need. The downstairs king bedroom was great for my elderly parents & the office outside of the upstairs master was perfect for my husband to WFH. The yard was beautiful & the blooming roses & hydrangeas were stunning. Our dog loved the yard! But the very best thing about this house is the location. A five minute walk to the beautiful Butterfly Beach, a 5 min drive to the restaurants & shops on Coast Village Dr., 10 min drive to the Upper Village. Another great thing about the area is the Music Academy of the West, which has a stunning campus at the end of the street from the home & is open to the public in the summer. You can walk thru the campus for a shortcut down to Butterfly beach. What a wonderful surprise! You could not be in a better location then the Channel house for all that’s happening in Montecito & SB! I will mention that the house faces the huge Santa Barbara Cemetery. It is a beautiful place but a huge cemetery nonetheless. Any small issues we had were immediately taken care of & the management Co was very responsive. If this home continues to be a rental we will definitely rent it again.

Seaside Escape
We came to Montecito with our family that included 2 teens and 4 adults. The home is very spacious and very clean. We were able to spread out and have lots of room and privacy as well. The home is a short walk to Butterfly Beach so every morning, we would walk to see the shore. It was amazing. Stores and shops for food are close by, restaurants as well. It is also a very short drive into Santa Barbara. And East Beach is less than 5 minutes away with plenty of parking. The kitchen was really big with lots of space. There is also a large game room with ping pong/pool and we really enjoyed it. The pantry was stocked with spices, oils and basic supplies. Tons of supplies as well! The only minor things we would have changed is a better set of pots and pans as some didn't have lids and felt mis-matched. Also, maybe the gardeners could come a little later as they came very early before 8am on a Friday. The property management is excellent - they were available and so friendly. They also gave names of places to eat or get take out from. We wouldn't hesitate coming back to this home again. Thank you!

Wonderful location and setting for families
We had fabulous family vacation with family members ages 0-75. There was plenty of room for all of us and the home is well supplied. The complete kitchen made for easy meal preparation and the many games, beach equipment and bicycles allowed for a variety of experiences for an expansive age range. The location was excellent! Easy walking to Coast Village and the beach with a short drive to the zoo, museums and downtown. The whole experience was fantastic and the service with the rental agency was excellent.

We loved our stay in this beautiful home. We were a family of 6 and had plenty of room to enjoy time together and time apart. The yard is so relaxing with a waterfall, Koi pond and jacuzzi. Everything was sparkling clean. There is a large kitchen very well equipped and large dinning room to share dinner together. It is a great walk score location to the beach. Short drive to upper or lower village. And the management team was very attentive to make sure our stay was perfect.

It Was Like Living in a Dream Home!
Our family enjoyed our stay at Channel House which was gorgeous, beautiful, and maintained in excellent condition. Children enjoyed the pond with fish and lotus flowers. They played on the manicured front yard with lush green grass with beautiful flowers all around. Adults warmed up in the hot tub in evenings. It was like living in a dream home.

Excellent Home Near the Beach and Restaurants
Channel Drive seems to get better every time we stay at the house. It's nice to see the owners investing in the house and keeping it in great shape. I almost hate to use the Weber barbeque. Every time I use it, it's like brand new clean. I would attempt to clean it before I leave, however I would not get close to the way it is when we arrive. As usual our only complaint was the master bedroom TV. Thanks to the staff (thanks Pete and Lydia) VROSB did their best to solve the problem. We had a great stay---Thanks! The Burke's

Wonderful Memories in a Wonderful Home
I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Channel House! It far exceeded our expectations. The photos on the website simply cannot capture its beauty or spaciousness and all of the little details: the koi pond and barbecue area, the hot tub, pool and ping pong table, fireplaces, televisions in every room, comfortable beds, cozy family room with a sectional big enough for eight adults, a laundry area, garage full of beach and recreation equipment, and the best equipped chef's kitchen we have had the pleasure of using for the weekend. We have stayed at numerous Airbnbs over the years and other vacation rentals, but the Channel House is easily now in our top five favorite places to stay. We cannot wait to stay there again! Highly Recommend This Place for Big Groups
This property is breathtaking! It was the perfect place for the bridal party to stay the weekend of my wedding. The huge open kitchen made it wash for group meals and the game room was hit! Loved the hot tub and all the space in each room.

Wonderful Long Weekend
Channel House is a terrific place for a family vacation (including our 2 dogs). It is beautifully decorated, both inside and outside, and spacious. We rent vacation homes frequently and it is the best "stocked" (kitchen, beach towels, bikes, car access to the garage, etc) and cleanest home we have rented. The location is perfect--an easy walk to the beach down a beautiful bike bath, walking distance to the coastal village and the Four Seasons (closed for our trip due to Covid), and minutes to State St. Highly recommend staying here.

First time rented Channel house was in 2013. We had family from Spain visiting and had a wonderful time. Then in the summer of 2019 we rented the house again and remembered how much we enjoyed our stay the first time. With the Pandemic it has been a home away from home for the 5 of us. Since we are not traveling a perfect get away.

Great Layout!

Access to beach and bike paths
Great access to beach and bike paths of the bird refuge. Layout of house is great for multiple couples as there is a first floor suite in addition to the upstairs bedrooms. Spent a lot of time with our son playing ping pong/billiards. Nice enclosed garden with great landscaping, hummingbirds, butterflies and rabbits. Thank you!

Wonderful house close to Butterfly Beach, the Four Seasons Hotel as well as walking distance to the terrific Stella Mare's French Country Bistro restaurant. Well maintained,very clean. Outside area immaculately kept. Everything works perfectly. New upgraded TV remotes are much better than the old system. Great Weber BBQ. Could not finds any faults on my recent stay in January 2020.

Amazing property!
The property exceeded our expectations and was perfect in every way! We gathered as a family to celebrate Thanksgiving and our 40th wedding anniversary! Magnificent Montecito Home
There are few vacation rentals that we have stayed in where the actual home is even better than the photos on a website, and this is one of them. My wife and I exclusively rent luxury homes when we travel, so we've had numerous experiences to compare our recent stay on Channel Drive to. I'm not sure if the owners use this home much on their own, but it was very obvious that they've spared no expense on the decorating, furnishings and various accoutrements that we enjoyed during our stay. All of our guests commented on the super-comfortable beds each morning as we would enjoy an always quite Montecito morning on the patio overlooking the gorgeous Koi pond. The space was abundant in the house and even though we were a party of 9 adults, we always had our own space when we wanted it. We began or ended each day with the short walk to Butterfly Beach (about a 5 minute walk), which might be one of my top walks ever. I loved strolling past the beautiful vegetation and walking up to the Four Season's Hotel. I loved being so close to it. Before we found this home to rent, we looked into renting a few rooms there, and the cost was much higher than having this full, beautiful home to ourselves! I'm so glad we found this house and we're already looking at our calendars for our next trip in June, because our experience was perfect in every way.

Would love to come back!
Channel Drive was so much more than we were expecting from the photos! We comfortably slept 8 adults, enjoyed the spacious kitchen that became the heart of our vacation and were so happy to be able to walk to the beach. It is just a quick ride-share ride into the Funk Zone so we could have a lovely dinner out and sample some of the local wineries. I would absolutely recommend Channel Drive to anyone looking for a place in and around Santa Barbara.

Family reunion
Wonderful property! Location to the beach, just a short stroll along stunning homes, is perfect. Walk to the Four Seasons. Having all the bikes was great, easy to ride downtown Santa Barbara. Close to grocery stores and the lower village of Montecito. Sleeps 7 comfortably. Note that there are 2 master bedrooms, one up and on main level. Well stocked kitchen, bedrooms have all the sheets, blankets, towels, and toiletries. Nice to come and not have to worry about these types of items. Will visit again!

Family Montecito Vacation
Lovely home with lots of amenities. Our family, including three grandsons (six years and younger) enjoyed the koi pond, hot tub, and the large grass area for running around. We also spent hours playing ping-pong in the game room.

Book this place!
We booked very late for Labor Day Weekend but totally lucked out to this amazing house. The location is perfect.
The description does not give it justice, everything is amazing. It's like your rich aunt gave you the keys for the weekend to her mansion by the beach. The house easily handled 3 couples and assorted friends. It actually felt huge. We laughed cause it took us a day to find one of the bathrooms (it's under the stairs). The location, the setting, the proximity to the beach all fantastic. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, the yard and hot tub and koi pond all amazingly relaxing. We barely left the house because we loved it so much. At night you can hear the waves from the house. We are already planning on booking again.

Stunning throughout!
We celebrated our children's graduation from Westmont over the weekend then enjoyed the rest of the week exploring Santa Barbara! Our stay was perfect! This house is wonderful for multiple couples and families to enjoy. The kitchen is incredible!

This is a fantastic family rental!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This property is just a few blocks to the beach and a short walk to Montecito Lower Village. The home and its furnishings are in immaculate condition and every convenience we needed was available. We spent leisurely afternoons lounging next to Koi pond and waterfalls. Our adult children enjoyed pool/ping pong table , huge TV's and bikes!! The owners obviously take pride in maintaining this property in top condition. Highly recommend this rental and would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful "Home away from home"
We spent the weekend in Santa Barbara to celebrate our daughter's wedding. I had to find lodging for me and my husband and our 4 grown children. Typically we would stay in hotels, but this time, we decided to rent a house so we can host a family dinner the day before the wedding. I know that pictures on-line may not accurately depict what the home will actually look like, but this home was as beautiful as the pictures. The amenities from a fully stocked kitchen, to the littlest of details like garage openers and bikes for our use was more than we could've asked for. The rental agency was also helpful in getting us in touch with a caterer to use for our family dinner. She was fabulous and made the event so special and memorable. The property was spectacular and the neighborhood was wonderful, especially with the beach within walking distance. The house was so clean, spacious and comfortable. My entire family felt like they were home. It was sad we had to leave on Sunday because we enjoyed our experience so much. This was our first time renting a home and it was almost too perfect, that I'm afraid our next rental experience won't be as nice. I highly recommend this property. Thank you for your beautiful home.

Perfect Rental Family Getaway!
My husband has developed several hospitality chains. As a result, we prefer to rent private properties to achieve the true getaway experience. For the same reason, we judge our accommodations with a critical eye. Well this property is the best we have EVER rented! It is immaculately maintained. The amenities are plentiful and top of the line. There's more than what's mentioned. Before our arrival, we arranged for bikes to be delivered. They had several new quality bikes and brand new helmets available-so we cancelled the bike rentals. The location is serene and a stone's throw from the ocean. It's absolutely perfect!

Great place for a family get together
Four siblings and their partners have gathered in this house annually for 4 years now. We have 2 professional chefs among us. The kitchen provides a wonderful space to work in or to hang out and observe. The proximity to the beach (a lovely walk) and downtown were also big plusses. The house (especially the kitchen) is well equipped with everything we needed and more. We hope to come back for many more years.

Zen retreat
This place was so relaxing. They have a Koi pond out back with lounges and Adirondack chairs by the waterfalls. It was the most serene place be ever rented. It's the kind of house where you can crank up the music, which plays throughout, and whip up a meal in the gourmet kitchen or challenge your wife to a game of ping pong in the game room. The house comes equipped with bikes and beach gear. We literally rode to the beach everyday. The view are intense. Mountains on one side, ocean on the other and flower. Flowers everywhere! The house was spotless, well maintained and very comfortable. Within minutes, I felt like I lived there. Like I was home. Oh and the hot tub. Very cool tub with views of the mountains. We will definitely be back!! Thanks again.

I love how so many little extras are provided, like the beach chairs, and everything is always kept in great condition. Wedding weekend
We were in Santa Barbara for our nephew's wedding. The house is lovely and well-maintained. The yard is gorgeous. It is very close to the beach and a walk to the Four Seasons was easy. Lots of amenities for both indoor and outdoor activities. Only comment is we are big Michigan fans and this home did not have the Big Ten network. I know, in beautiful Santa Barbara. Get outside. But this is Michigan we are taking about! We fashioned a solution with our own Apple TV (couldn't find a cable for theirs) but if football Saturdays are important to you and you are a Big Ten fan just be prepared. Silly I know. Otherwise, very highly recommended.

A Little Bit of Heaven on Earth
What a wonderful vacation home. We had the pleasure of staying there for a week and didn't want to leave. Ever! The house is just perfect. Large rooms, comfortable furnishings, beautiful big modern kitchen. Everything is maintained perfectly. The outdoor area is fabulous. Beautiful new furniture, great bbq island, amazing koi pond, and wonderful hot tub. Something for everyone in the family. A beautiful quick walk to a magnificent beach. Quintessential Montecito Experience - Absolutely Exquisite
Our family has had countless vacation home rental experiences in my life, but none as great as our recent stay at this beautiful home in Monetcito. After just a few days, I felt what is was like to live in a beautiful home in Montecito. Firstly, there is not a room in the entire house that isn't decorated beautifully. Absolutely everything in the house is updated and modern, from the every appliance we used to the oversized flatscreen TVs, to the sound system- and all the fixtures. The rooms are huge - and every morning, I literally had many choices as to where to have my morning coffee - beautiful porches in front, back, side and even on the 2nd floor overlooking the front gardens! Some of my our favorite activities were using the pool table, riding bikes, watching the koi swim around in possibly the largest backyard Koi pond I've ever seen - and walking to Butterfly Beach and the beautiful Biltmore Hotel. I loved that this home was literally next door to Ty Warner's estate (founder of Beanie Babies & owner of the Biltmore)...That's how you know you're in the right place in Santa Barbara!
In summary, you can tell when someone cares about their property...and my guess is, the owner uses it for themselves - because of how great the house is appointed and maintained. I fell in love with Montecito and Santa Barbara - all over again and our trip would not have been as special in a basic hotel room no matter how great the hotel. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to be in exactly the right spot in the SB/Montecito area.

Simply a great house to stay at
Big and yet cozy, close to all,(beach shopping etc...) and yet total privacy. Beautifully maintained both inside and out, it was easy to tell that every last detail had been well thought out from the Koi pond in the yard to the flat screen TV in the large family room, to the perfectly sized ping pong table in the lounge area.

Exactly as advertised
When we walked into this beautiful house, we were thrilled to see that this home was exactly as advertised. From the layout, to the size of the rooms, to the decor, to it being immaculately clean, to it being stocked with anything you would need, you feel immediately at home. And that's just the inside. When opening sliding glass doors to the backyard, you feel like you are entering a beautiful resort, with gorgeous landscaping and a soothing waterfall. Tables, chairs, a bbq, fireplace and hot tub just add to the serenity. The beach is in walking distance and the town is just so close by. We spent some time in Santa Barbara which is a picture perfect town with plenty of wonderful restaurants just like in Montecito. We shared the house with our son, our daughter-in-law and our 2 1/2 yr old grandson. He had plenty of space to play. The zoo was another fabulous attraction right in the area. We would highly recommend this home. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. Overall, the house exceeded our expectations.

Clean and orderly
Our family came to Santa Barbara to attend our son's wedding. The house was perfect for us. We could all be together in one place without the separation of hotel rooms, we could come and go as we needed/wanted to, we had room to host our friends who had also come to SB for the wedding in a relaxed and "together" atmosphere. The gardens were so delightful for evenings sitting around visiting. My husband loved the hot tub and had great conversation with our daughter. The description was accurate, the property was clean and orderly, we would highly recommend this to anyone. The wedding was at the Biltmore Hotel, which is right down the street. So convenient.

This is one of the best vacation rentals that I have experienced
Great house with everything that a family would need...as if you lived there year around. Very spacious, clean, security system, entertainment system, pool table, ping - pong table, great outdoor space with bbq, hot-tub and koi pond, Wii for the kids (and some parents too:)), flat screen TVs in every room, all the beach gear needed, skate boards, kites, bikes, and more. Very short drive / walking distance to the beach, the Zoo, the Biltmore Hotel (great sunsets), food store, and restaurants. Easy drive to wine tasting and sightseeing. We had a blast and will be back.

I stayed at this property with my family prior to my wedding and we all had a great time! The location was ideal for us - between East Beach and Montecito, close to Butterfly Beach and the Biltmore! The house is spacious, clean and well furnished. We had ample room to invite friends over and have barbecue dinners. The hot tub and pool/ping pong table was a nice bonus! We also had our dog with us who loved running around the yard. I would highly recommend this house to large parties who want to be near the beach and have easy access to the freeway, Coast Village Rd and East Beach.

Fabulous Home - Great for large groups!
Everything about the house is terrific. The rooms were comfy and we had lots of space for everyone. The house is laid out so well with lots of places for people to do their own thing or come together and chat, play games, whatever. We are a group of ladies who get together twice a year to reconnect and this house was our favorite...and we've been doing this for over 10 years. We especially loved the outdoor fireplace, bbq and koi pond but the jacuzzi was also pretty great. However, our favorite place ended up being the kitchen area. Since we stay in for all our meals, it was a place to hang out with the cook, have some wine and chat. Hope to return next Fall!

Everything about this home was incredible
Very well maintained. Overlooking the Santa Barbara Cemetery and a block away from the coast. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor area with the koi pond and bbq, along with the sound system installed throughout the home. Incredible, well supplied kitchen. Nearby restaurants were amazing. I don't think you can go wrong. We went to Fishhouse, Trattoria Victoria and Holdren's. All three were amazing. There was a farmer's market on State Street so we shopped there for breakfast items and enjoyed it in the wonderful kitchen. We will definitely be back!

Magical Retreat
I'm still transitioning back to reality after our trip to Montecito. I don't know where to start with this house and the area surrounding it. I had never been to the Santa Barbara area, which was described to me as magical, by a friend. It was just that, for me!
The house is very welcoming and comfortable, specifically the couches in the TV room and the den. The kitchen has ample space and is conducive to conversation, as any good kitchen should be. When we were not in the hot tub out back, which overlooks the mountains, we were standing around the island, laughing and telling stories. The flowers and landscape design of the property is impeccable. We would sit out back, watching the Koi in the pond, listening to the waterfall and all of a sudden out of the corner of your eye you would see a hummingbird on some bright red flower. Incredible! The rooms are spacious and the master bathroom is beautiful. The shower in the master bathroom was perfect! More than hotel style.
We enjoyed biking to the beach with brand-new bicycles provided. It was only a couple of blocks and you were at the ocean.
As far as food goes, I don't know where to start, but I remember the chicken sandwich at Honor Bar being incredible and Saturday night at the Stone House restaurant at The San Ysidro Ranch. One of the best meals of my life. Really!
We went on a very unique tour of a local horticultural estate called Lotusland. There are really no words to describe this experience, but I highly recommend you check it out if you stay here. Like nothing I've ever seen.

This vacation rental was amazing
It is a beautiful home with great amenities. The back yard with the fountain, koi pond, and jacuzzi were very relaxing. There was a wonderful assortment of birds that visited the yard as well. We had the most fabulous vacation in this gorgeous Montecito home
It is beautifully decorated and very well maintained. The great beaches are just a short walking distance and it's an easy bike trip to town. Any questions we had about the house were answered quickly and efficiently. I was traveling with children and they loved the outdoor hot tub and lovely koi pond. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home for a week with 8 adults an three littles. The property exceeded our expectations.
We would strongly recommend this property. The home is very well maintained, perfect location and comfy. Very easy check in and check out with excellent customer service. We had a minor issue of water backing up in the upstairs shower that was immediately addressed, with no inconvenience at all to us. The property management showed genuine
concern and responded within minutes. This home has many amenities an is very spacious. There are tv's in every bedroom, game room and living room. They have nice bikes with helmets to use. Board games, pool table, bad mitten, a beautiful spa an outdoor living space with koi pond.
