Broad plank flooring in rich tones flows from room to room. A seamless transition leads to the dining room through a gentle arch, where a teak table can be dressed up for entertaining or lingering over a latte and freshly baked croissant from nearby Handlebar Coffee Roasters or Bree'osh Bakery, just down the street. 

The galley-style kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances and a 48" Professional Viking range, is sleek, efficient, and ready for even the most seasoned chef to be inspired. The laundry room with front loading washer and dryer is adjacent, and a door leads to the back deck, so it's easy to go between the kitchen and burgers on the barbecue! 

Accommodating up to six guests, the three bedrooms are waiting for each guest to have their own sanctuary. The primary bedroom, with its king-size bed, invites quieter moments for sleeping in, or grab the guest book and write down any great finds discovered on daily adventures in this coastal town; the next guests will thank you! The primary en suite bathroom is stocked with lofty white towels and features a shower-bathtub combination surrounded by custom white tile. 

The front bedroom with a queen-size bed faces the mountain and garden views; a clever cabinet has been refurbished beautifully to secure personal belongings. The hall bathroom with shower-bathtub combination is adjacent to this serene space. The third bedroom with an en suite bathroom offers a queen-size bed and a door to a private terrace, making it easy to pop out for morning yoga or a quiet moment before joining the rest of the group for breakfast. 

Out back, a tiered deck is surrounded by mature shade trees and towering bamboo, providing an absolutely idyllic, private oasis. It will be tempting to nap under the over-sized shade umbrella in this outdoor living room or just hang out with friends after a long day to share the high points of the day's activities. Step down into the garden and take a meditative walk on the path that leads toward the vine-covered arbor that connects the front and back yards. 

When it comes time for grocery shopping, a Trader Joe's is within walking distance; Gelson's is also just up the street. Once stocked up, fire up the propane barbecue on the deck, open a local brew or rich pinot noir, and enjoy game night! If no one in the group feels up to cooking, there are great dining establishments on this end of town; Los Agaves is a local's favorite, as is Yellow Belly, or try the hand-made ravioli in a sage butter sauce or gelato at Via Maestra 42. Harry's is a lively, beloved "watering hole" with, dare we say, generous pours!  When time to walk it all off there are amazing local trails, or head to the Botanic Gardens to see all that is in bloom. During Old Spanish Days "Fiesta" week in August, horse shows, a rodeo, and more are showcased at Earl Warren Showgrounds a short walk away! 

Woven into the tapestry of timeless elegance, Midtown Charmer's style, comfort, location, and allure will have guests returning again and again. There is so much to see and do in Santa Barbara, but returning home will always be the best part of every day; be sure to stop and smell the roses. It's worth saying again. Home, sweet home!
