Check-in is 4:00pm and check-out is 10:00am.
We kindly ask that guests adhere to the standard check-in and check-out times. Often, we have guests checking out in the morning and new guests checking in that same afternoon, and our cleaning crew needs ample time to make sure the property is thoroughly cleaned and pristine for new guests.
On the occasion that no on is arriving the day you depart or vise versa, we may be able to accommodate your request. Please contact our Guest Relations team within 24-72 hours of your scheduled check-out or check-in time to inquiry if this is possible. Without prior approval for a late check-out or early check-in, additional fees may be assessed if these times are not adhered to. Please note- absolutely NO late check-outs or early check-ins can be accommodated between Memorial Day & Labor Day (summer months). We appreciate your understanding!

Our cleaning fee is not negotiable. Our professional cleaning crew clean the home top to bottom, launder all linens, and replenish consumable goods such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. Our Property Specialist inspects the home to make sure it’s in excellent condition for the next guest. This professional attention to detail is part of the vacation rental experience!

When you reserve your vacation rental on our website, you have the option to use a credit card or pay via e-check. An e-check payment works like a paper check but instead of mailing a check, you enter your bank account information and the funds are withdrawn directly from your account. You can also coordinate with a member of VROSB to send in a traditional check in a timely manner. If you prefer to pay either by e-check or check, please contact our Guest Relations department as soon as possible so we can arrange.
Please note that if a stay is booked within 7 days of the check-in date, a credit card must be used as payment, and the additional 4% credit card convenience fee will be incurred.
In the unfortunate event you should have to cancel your booking, both the Cleaning Fee and Damage Protection Program fee are refundable. Please be aware that the rental fees paid are non-refundable. We recommend that you consider purchasing Travel Insurance, which is made available during your online reservation process.
Most homes in Santa Barbara do not have air conditioning because the year-round temperate climate of Santa Barbara is mild and we have coastal breezes to cool things off. However, we do have a few homes that do have AC. Please inquire if this is a special request.
Some of our homes are suitable for dogs. Please check the “Pet Friendly” tab of properties to view properties that allow pets. Please note that pet fees will be applied. Dogs are the only kind of pet allowed at the properties that are “pet friendly.” Cats and other animals are strictly forbidden in any of our homes.
All of our homes have internet access and Wi-Fi available. There is an information book located in the home with details on how to access the Wi-Fi and other amenities available in the home.
Yes! Each property has kitchen plates, utensils, linens, and towels.
We want your stay in one of our homes to be as relaxing and care-free as possible. Because of this, you can expect to find each home stocked with an initial supply of paper products, soap, detergents, foil, saran wrap, and other consumables.
You can also find a hairdryer in every bathroom, along with travel-sized soaps, shampoos, and conditioners.
Guests that are staying long-term (30+ nights) may request a showing as long as it’s not an inconvenience to the current guest.
Because these are private homes, certain properties may be more accessible than others. For more information regarding accessibility of certain homes, please contact our Guest Relations department to answer any questions. Our Guest Relations team is happy to find the right home for you!
The unique feature of vacation rentals is that you get to experience living in Santa Barbara like a local. As all of our vacation rentals are located in residential areas, we ask that you respect your neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. We currently do not have any properties that can accommodate parties or events such as weddings.
Please visit our Things To Do- Recommended Restaurants section for more information on local restaurants, cafes, and shops. Should you want more personalized recommendations, please don’t hesitate to ask! We would love to help you find the perfect place to eat for any occasion.
Each vacation rental features a Welcome Book that includes information on local grocery stores, services, shops, and restaurants.
Yes! Our concierge service can work with you to secure a chef during your stay.
We do not, but our concierge service would be happy to arrange delivery of these items (& more) for you. Please contact them for more information.
