What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 4:00pm and check-out is 10:00am.


Can I check-in earlier than 4:00pm and check-out later than 10:00am?

We often have guests checking out in the morning and new guests checking in that same afternoon. Our cleaning crew needs ample time to make sure the property is thoroughly cleaned and pristine for new guests. On the occasion that no one is arriving the day you depart or vice versa, we may be able to accommodate your request. Please contact our Guest Relations department no less than 24 hours, and no more than 72 hours, before your scheduled check-out time to inquire if this is possible.


Can I clean the home myself and waive the cleaning fee?

Our cleaning fee is not negotiable. Our professional cleaning crew cleans the home top to bottom, launders all linens, and replenishes consumed goods such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. Our property manager inspects the home to make sure it’s in excellent condition for the next guest. This professional attention to detail is part of the vacation rental experience!


How do I make a reservation?

Simply visit www.VROSB.com and select which property you would like rent, then select your dates of interest and click “Book Now.” Feel free to give us a call should you have any questions as well.


How can I pay for my vacation rental?

When you reserve your vacation rental on our website, you have the option to use a credit card or pay via e-check. An e-check payment works like a paper check but instead of mailing a check, you enter your bank account information and the funds are withdrawn directly from your account. You can also coordinate with a member of VROSB to send in a traditional check in a timely manner. If you prefer to pay either by e-check or check, please contact our Guest Relations department as soon as possible so we can arrange.

Please note that if a stay is booked within 7 days of the check-in date, a credit card must be used as payment, and the additional 3% credit card processing fee will be incurred.


What is your cancellation policy?

In the unfortunate event you should have to cancel your booking, both the Cleaning Fee and Damage Insurance are refundable. Please be aware that the rental fees paid are non-refundable. We recommend that you consider purchasing Travel Insurance.


Do your properties have air conditioning?

Most homes in Santa Barbara do not have air conditioning because the year-round temperate climate of Santa Barbara is mild and we have coastal breezes to cool things off. However, we do have a few homes that do. Please inquire if this is a special request.


Are your properties pet friendly?

Some of our homes are pet friendly. Please check the “Pet Friendly” tab of properties to view properties that allow pets. Please note that pet fees may be applied. Dogs are the only kind of pet allowed at the properties that are “pet friendly”. Cats and other animals are strictly forbidden in any of our homes.


Do your properties have Wi-Fi?

All of our homes have internet access and Wi-Fi available. There is an information book located in the home with details on how to access the Wi-Fi and other amenities available in the home.


Do your properties have amenities such as plates, utensils and linens?

Yes! Each property has kitchen plates, utensils, linens, and towels.


What else can I expect to be stocked in the home?

We want your stay in one of our homes to be as relaxing and care-free as possible. Because of this, you can expect to find each home stocked with an initial supply of paper products, soap, detergents, foil, saran wrap, and other consumables.

You can also find a hairdryer in every bathroom, along with travel-sized soaps, shampoos, and conditioners.


Can I view the home ahead of time?

Guests that are staying long-term may request a showing as long as it’s not an inconvenience to the current guest.


Are your homes ADA accessible?

Can I throw a party or host an event at the property?

The unique feature of vacation rentals is that you get to experience living in Santa Barbara like a local. As all of our vacation rentals are located in residential areas, we ask that you respect your neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. We currently do not have any properties that can accommodate parties or events such as weddings.


Can you recommend a restaurant?

Please visit our Things To Do- Recommended Restaurants section for more information on local restaurants, cafes, and shops. Should you want more personalized recommendations, please don’t hesitate to ask! We would love to help you find the perfect place to eat for any occasion.


Where is the nearest grocery store?

Each vacation rental features a Welcome Book that includes information on local grocery stores, services, shops, and restaurants.


Can I hire a chef to cook during our stay?

Yes! Our concierge service can work with you to secure a chef during your stay.


Do you provide baby equipment, such as cribs or high chairs? 

We do not, but our concierge service would be happy to arrange delivery of these items (& more) for you. Please contact them for more information.
