Captain’s Cottage

Colorful art and found objects bring the nautical theme to life, adding a touch of whimsy at every turn. In the bedroom is a second television and a comfortable queen-size bed to assure a great night’s sleep. The remodeled bathroom is luxurious with dual sinks and a large walk-in glass shower equipped with a safety bar.

The focal point of the galley kitchen is the vintage O’Keefe and Meritt 4-burner range with dual ovens and broiler unit. In a lyrical play on the past and present, the white enamel and shiny chrome stand in contrast to the contemporary grey quartz counters and modern appliances. Well equipped for casual meals or fine dining in a relaxed setting, the eat-in kitchen is a welcoming hub. 

Step down into a friendly sunroom with a daybed and French doors leading to the enclosed backyard.  The daybed has a trundle bed underneath, meaning it can be transformed into a Queen-sized bed for the occasional overnight guest. Enjoying a sunrise cup of coffee, or dining under the stars here, will be the most delightful way to begin and end the day. Laundry room is shared between triplex tenants.

For the active visitor, the coastal beauty is best enjoyed on foot, or hop on the two bikes provided to cruise around. How fun! Explore the surrounding neighborhoods where gentle breezes draw the sun enthusiasts to the wide stretches of sandy beach, volleyball courts, Stearns Wharf, the Harbor, and a myriad of recreation options.

Try the 1957 Breakfast Sandwich or irresistible syrup-drenched Tiger Bites! Stroll through The Funk Zone, where the eclectic sub-culture of artisan shops, wine tasting rooms, award-winning micro brewpubs, and trendy eateries offer the unexpected. A visit to The MOXI - The Wolf Museum of Exploration and Innovation, makes for a fun-filled day for all ages.

Finally, off-street one-car garage parking and laundry room access add convenience for every guest.
