As a welcoming point of entry behind wrought iron gates, a tranquil fountain sets the tone for a relaxed and memorable stay. White stucco walls contrast with Saltillo tile patios and lush gardens in a pleasing Mediterranean theme outside, and a comfortably appointed remodeled home inside. The house functions beautifully as a dual-living property with both floors connecting inside and out, and also accessible with private entrances if desired.
The main floor offers a master suite with a full bathroom, a second bedroom suite with a day bed with twin trundle, and en suite bathroom. The exceptionally well-equipped kitchen is thoughtfully outfitted with distinctive appliances, a variety of dishes and serving pieces, and a central island for all to gather together to cook, dine, and have fun!
Flanking the kitchen are opposing terraces offering two uniquely differing perspectives. Captivating ocean views define the expansive main terrace by day, and the twinkling lights of the city below, by night. There is no better spot from sunrise to sunset. Restaurant-style gas heaters create a perfect year-round outdoor dining room experience. Two large sectional couches invite sun worshippers and stargazers alike to soak in the unobstructed view. The enclosed north dining patio offers a more intimate experience, also with outdoor heaters for comfort on cooler evenings. The living room opens with dual sets of French doors making this room feel as if an extension of terrace just outside.
The downstairs functions beautifully as a second residence or as an extension of the main floor, with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, two family/media rooms, kitchenette, music room, and laundry. A True Santa Barbara Experience!
It was great being on a private street. I was able to walk our dog with no issues. As we had two different couples come different weeks the separate living downstairs was wonderful! The home was well stocked and we enjoyed it very much! The location was exceptional. A true Santa Barbara experience thank you!

On top of the world
My family and I enjoyed Ocean Outlook for several late spring/early summer months, and it was a pure treat!
The views from the main balcony gave us the sense that we were sitting on top of the world, and provided the ultimate perspective from which to enjoy Santa Barbara's beautiful weather. Especially on a clear day, with the Channel Islands feeling so close that we could almost reach out and touch them, I couldn't imagine ever wanting for a better view! There's also a separate outdoor space in the back of the house that serves as a wonderful refuge for when the wind kicks up. Heat lamps in both outdoor areas keep things cozy even after the nighttime chill settles in.
The view aside, the home itself is a joy to live in. The kitchen is well-outfitted and there are ample bedrooms and bathrooms. The in-law unit in the bottom of the house makes for an ideal sanctuary for friends and family to come over and stay the night.
All in all, we loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone. The VROSB team was fantastic to work with too - incredibly responsive and accomodating. Five stars all around!
