Looking for a mental getaway right about now?
We feel you. As we continue to shelter-in-place for the safety of our community, we long for the days of freely strolling through local museums and frolicking down State Street. Until we can do these things again, our city has gotten creative and brought Santa Barbara to you, virtually! Below are some of our favorite ways to take a Santa Barbara virtual vacation:
MOXI, the Wolf Museum of Exploration and Innovation, has created fun projects and experiences to keep the whole family entertained while at home. For more information and to follow along, click HERE.
Under the Sea
Relax your mind and immerse your spirit in the underwater live stream from the kelp forest near Anacapa Island in the Channel Islands! Watch fish and sea life casually pass by as you virtually feel the motion of the ocean. Dive in HERE.
Our beloved Santa Barbara Zoo is regularly posting new videos of animals to bring the zoo closer to you! Follow Monty the Penguin’s adventures around the zoo, watch giraffes do their thing, and more! Explore the zoo HERE.
Blooms and Birds
Something about being outside can be so peaceful and grounding, can’t it? One of our favorite places to explore is the Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens. Even though it is currently closed, they are taking viewers on virtual walks through the flower fields and around the Garden. To follow along, watch them HERE.
And when you’re ready for a real escape, our extra clean properties and friendly staff are here for you! Vacation Rentals of Santa Barbara has been honored to house first responders and essential workers in the midst of this crisis, and we remain committed to keeping our properties clean and ready for those in need of a place to call their home away from home. We are all in this together!
